Case Logic PBC-15 15.4-inch Designworks Lightweight Laptop and Tablet PC Case (Grey)

Case Logic 15.4 PC Case

Case Logic PBC-15 15.4-inch Designworks Lightweight Laptop and Tablet PC Case (Grey) Nice case but outside compartment faces down so if you open it in upright position "things" will fall out. Hard to fit all accessory cords and charger.

Case Review

The product is indeed light and convenient, though the grey color that it was advertised under is misleading. It IS grey .. with a hint, in my opinion, of an olive green. Caught me off guard, I guess. Its a comfortable bag, though I'm not sure if it was worth it for the price of 30 bucks.

Good basic bag

Bought this bag for myself insearch of a very basic and mostly lightweight bag to carry computer and a few papers. It is light, provides enough padding for small trips (car- home- office). The only thing that could be improved is the front flap is not really a pocket and hold very little in the direction it is positioned. It would be nice to have a better outer pocket t put a few small items. Overall if you are looking for an overall basic lightweight computer bag it seems durable enough

light, thin, and durable

The first impression of this case is that it is super light. It held my Dell XPS 1530 (with 15.4 inch screen), an AC adapter, and a mouse without any problems. Moreover, the case didn't feel bulky as it does with many laptop cases which overdo the laptop protection. I suppose those bulky laptop cases are fine if you drop the case often. But this case just works fine for average drops (unless you have a really fragile laptop). It is a perfect size for my needs and I highly recommend it for those who are seeking a laptop case with small form and weight factor.

Fit the basic needs...Dont Expect more......

This is a nice beautyfull product...if you have a 15.4 inch laptop is going to fit only the necessary.....Laptop...Power source cables...mouse....5 CD'S (I dont Know why they dont put 5 extra pockets in the reverse)...marker...the manual and a few little extra items....if you expect more...you better look for other type of case.

Kata Ergo-Tech Series Prism U Personal Gear Backpack for Digital Camera and 12 Inch Laptop Computer

Kata Ergo-Tech Series Prism U Personal Gear Backpack for Digital Camera and 12 Inch Laptop Computer

Bag's Description Incorrect

The description of the bag (on amazon and kata-bags.com) state that the elasto-guard sleeves for the camera are in the top compartment, but mine are in the bottom compartment. I'm a little concerned that the weight of things in the top comparment could damage my dslr in the bottom compartment, especially since the LCD screen hugs the bottom of the top compartment. If you want to get an idea of what the camera compartment really looks like check out the Kata Sensitivity V backpack, as it has the camera compartment in the lower portion of the bag. Besides the surprise of the camera compartment not being where I thought it would be the bag is great. It's slightly bigger than I thought it would be. My Dell Latitude D420 fits great as does my Sony Alpha 350 with 18-70 lens attached and the extra 55-200 lens fits perfectly in the elasto-guard sleeve. There's room for a third lense as well. I'm just disappointed that the bag is not as setup as described.

Camera travelling backpack

I bought this backpack to carry my camera when I travel. The area designated for the camera is secure and well padded. My complaint about the bag is it must be sized for a man with broad shoulders, it is always falling off my shoulders (unless I secure the additional buckle across my chest). The top compartment is handy but not very big. I use the secret back compartment to keep my wallet and important papers in, I can't feel them there and no one can steal them. The shoulder pads rub on your bare skin but are fine if you are wearing a long sleeved shirt. The water pouches are nice as are the cell phone & i-pod pocket. I wanted a small bag to carry my camera in and I guess this is it, it just isn't "perfect".

King of Backpacks

The perfect backpack if you carry an assortment of gadgets. Although my 14" laptop won't fit in the laptop compartment (didn't expect it to really) the compartment is perfect for storing magazines and documents. It is not overly big and no bigger than the Gap sling bag I replaced it with. It is comfortable to hold and also looks really cool.

I love it...

I was using a shoulder bag for two years. The weight of my SLR, bettery, charge, flash...etc was killing me if I went for a day trip. I compared dozens of camera bags on the amazon and on the net, from $30 to $200 sth, from sling bag to backpack. I finally picked up this one. I have been using it for the recent trip to DC (several days walking in DC), Shenandoah, Newport... took it to everywhere. I am a 5'5 medium build woman. This backpack fits me very well(tighten the front staps if you are wearing short sleeved shirts, so the shoulder straps can be away from your bare inside arms). I put everything into it: one SLR with 200mm lens, Flash, diffuser, bettery for camera, bettery for Flash, bettery charge, keys, wallet, pen, tour books etc. I swich the bag to the front for quick access to the camera if I wasn't holding the camera in my hand. I love this backpack, it gives me a lot more freedom to enjoy my trips and photo taking. PS: Shipping was awesome, the backpack was packaged as if it was a baby.

Great Product!

Couldn't ask for a better camera bag! It is durable, light wait, has a lot of pockets, and holds everything you need for a day walk.

Sony VAIO VGN-AR710E/B 17-inch Laptop (1.6 GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core T2330 Processor, 2 GB RAM, 200 GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium) Black

sony vaio 760ub

computer is top notch but i think that it was opened by someone before ..it does look new but some items were opened...for example manual with some items..plastic bag was opened and that white sticker that sony has on boxes was not on. i hope it was amazon checking if all items were inside

Good Computer.

I bought the Sony VAIO VGN-AR760U/B, this computer is good, it's not the usual laptop size it's a desktop replacement. It comes loaded with windows ultimate and some trial software, this computer it's NOT a 64-bit computer instead it's a 32-bit. I haven't had any display flickering or technical issue so far, I have use the Recovery Center and everything goes back to the factory install software even WINDVD. This computer doesn't have no backup CD's or any CDs you have to burn them with your computer. The only uncomfortable feeling about this computer is that it gets somewhat warm, other than that this computer is alright.

Best Display and FAST FAST FAST

I decided to get rid of my 2 towers and consolidate to a single laptop a couple of months ago and never looked back. I needed something that could still churn through the Adobe Suite that I use for generating creative and other graphic and memory intensive applications. I simply love this laptop. It does everything it says it will and more! I have used the Blue Ray a few times and found it easy enough to hook it up via the HDMI port to my Sony HD receiver. The 320GB hard drive is more than enough to use for storage and comes partitioned out as 2 drives. I use another portable 500GB drive as my scratch drive for creative and compiling. Having 3GB of RAM also helps BIG TIME when rendering. You can max it out to 4GB, but I don't think Vista will recognize the additional memory. The only downside that I see for this laptop is the battery life is pretty dismal when running at full tilt. You can choose a balanced or max battery setting to improve the overall time. But then again, with a 17" display and being a powerhouse, it's to be expected to be a battery hog. In a nutshell, I'm extremely happy with this laptop and use it for all of its strengths. If you a NOT a power user, I suggest that you save your money and with a more affordable laptop. Microsoft Office doesn't exactly tax any laptops currently on the market.

Very good desktop replacement system

I decided to purchase a new laptop after my old laptop was taken over by the family for a variety of tasks. I was mostly happy with the system I had, a nice HP Pavilion system with a decent feature set, but considering that it is 2-3 years old and does not run everything I want to run anymore I wanted to make my upgrade to a new system worthwhile. In researching I found this particular system and I pounced on it, as I found it at a steal of a price. It is not perfect, but there is an awful lot in this notebook. My very first notebook was a Sony Vaio, so I imagined that this would be familiar territory. I was greatly mistaken, as things have changed dramatically since then, mostly for the better. First off, this is a fast system with lots of expansion room. This is very important to me because I do a little bit of everything - I do some gaming, I write software, I write short stories, I hang out online. I am not considered a power user in that regard so an AlienWare ultra-high-powered expensive gaming rig is not really what I need, but I don't need an entry-level system that is good for little more than checking email either. My needs are for a well-rounded machine that can do most things well. This notebook fits that need. I am especially impressed with the bright, large screen. I do occasionally toss a movie DVD into the system and treat myself to a private showing of whatever movie I have chosen, and all of that screen real estate makes for an enjoyable experience. As for DVDs... With Blu-ray built into this system, watching new media movies is not a concern. That's a very nice plus. I like the fact that this system has two individual hard drives instead of one large one, as I want to create a dual-boot system and not wipe out the whole thing. I was unaware of this when I purchased the system, thinking I had a unified drive, though that was an oversight - the labeling and documentation are clear. The system comes with 3 GB RAM, expandable to 4. Up to this point things seem to be comfortable in that amount of room. My first task was to strip off the trial software I don't want or need, which includes MS Office 2007, Webroot SpySweeper and Norton 360. Some people will appreciate these applications but for me they are in the way and clutter the hard drive with unneeded stuff. If these applications were full-release apps with more than 30-90 days of use, I likely would keep them all but in my case I already have licensed software to use that meet the same needs. The documentation states that there is a firewire port, a VGA port and an S-Video port, and it took searching the web for a manual with technical diagrams to reveal that these are hidden on the right side, under a cover. Nothing that came with the system says where to find those ports, and the cover that conceals these ports blends in well enough to truly hide them - I did not find them without help. Even more concerning to me is the number and placement of the USB ports. There is one on the back, and two on the right side close to the front edge. I work with an external mouse but I use the built-in keyboard, and I am right-handed. So, if I plug anything at all into those two front edge USB ports, the cords interfere with my mouse use. The solution, then, is to plug a 4-port hub in the back and then plug everything in there. The built-in speakers are all right, though nothing special. If you want better speakers plug them in and all is well. That said, the built-ins are quite acceptable for most use. You would not want to use them for listening to symphony music, of course, but they're just fine for gaming and general music. I am very pleased with the graphics. My litmus test for gaming is Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2, and both of these play quite smoothly. I have not loaded up Unreal Tournament 3 yet - that's next - but it should have no difficulty at all with that game. I did run into one problem that required a call to Sony technical support. Because Sony does not include recovery media with their systems, it is up to the owner to create them and Sony makes it easy with included utilities. There are two options for creating the media - 1 dual-layer DVD or 2 single-layer DVDs. I chose the single dual-layer and after an hour of writing and grinding, the DVD ejected and the system said the creation failed. Assuming it was the target medium, I tried again with the same result. I called Sony thinking I needed to request the recovery DVDs and the technician told me that the single-layer DVD creation would work but that a glitch with this specific model prevents the dual-layer media creation from working. When I used two single-layer DVDs, everything created without a hitch. This brings up a good point. Some places provide horrible service with operators that no one can understand. I got through in a reasonable amount of time (it was 5am but I still had a brief wait) and I got a very pleasant fellow who was very easy to understand (he did have and accent, though I could not place it) and was very helpful. This is my desktop replacement system. It does everything I need it to do, it works well and it has a good feature set. It is certainly not perfect, but even at full price it is a good deal for what you get. It is NOT a top-of-the-line gaming rig but it's not marketed as such. If you want a good well-rounded machine, give this one some consideration.

A Great Machine

I have had a preference for Sony computers for a long time. They are generally a little more expensive, but you seem to get more. The all-in-one configuration eliminates wires and cords running in all directions. Sony support is above average. All-in-all a purchase worth the extra money!

Xbrand XB-1002 360 Height Adjustable Laptop Stand with USB 2.0 Hub

Xbrand XB-1002 360 Height Adjustable Laptop Stand with USB 2.0 Hub

plastic world

does what it says, really handy, no fear of spills, picked up my typing speed, better cooling for sure, especially when used w/ a 5 dollar fan. feels like plastic tho, wish they could make it out of billet alluminum, or even mahagony wood.haha. heres a tip, i used an old spark plug wire connector off an old hot rod motor in back to clean up wires(connect them linearly..side to side) from USB ports in back and velcro wraps from Lowes on the cables..all nice, neat, looks as one big cable now, clean and very functional, i can move my laptop around a 2 1/2' by 3' coffee table no sweat.

Really cool product!

I bought this from Amazon in February for $54.33 with free shipping and no tax! This is a wonderfully designed product that truly delivers ergonomically. It not only raises the screen to eye-level, but putting it at maximum vertical height brings the screen closer to your eyes at an optimal position so you don't hunch to see the screen. It really cleans up your desk and looks just plain cool. (I get tons of compliments.) The USB hub makes it like a docking station as well. Besides the high price that other reviewers have complained about (I got a better deal on it back when Amazon used to sell it directly), I noticed that it occasionally suffers from some kind of glitch when I plug my Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard adapter into the hub and I have to push the little "connect" button on the bottom of my mouse to fix it. I figured I'd get a better signal anyway if I moved the adapter closer up so I just connected the wireless adapter directly into my laptop's USB port to circumvent this problem. However, it'd be nice if I could eliminate any cords by plugging it into the XBrand's USB hub. Thus 4 Stars.

Why too expensive?

Well, I wanted to buy this one, but I look around for more options ... surprice! At Official Site this one cost 79.99USD .... why this cost a lot more ... I will buy from the product's site.

Very nice

I ordered this because I use my Macbook Pro (15") quite a bit and found that my neck was hurting from constantly looking down at the screen. The four positions of adjustment are not equally spaced, i.e., from a level position to the first angle is more significant than moving from position 2 to 3 or 3 to 4. It does raise quite a bit so everyone should find a level that works for them. I read reviews in advance that pointed out that only the level and first incline positions were usable for the Macbook Pro's as the hinge of the notebook, while opening widely, cannot open far enough to make positions 3 or 4 usable. Your mileage will vary depending on the maximum angle your screen will open to. The hub works flawlessly, but does require usage of the A/C adapter (included) with my MBP. The warning tag on the USB cable that comes with the unit indicates that the power adapter must always be used when utilizing the hub. Without it plugged in, it will not work even with low power devices like mice and keyboards. The unit's wheels allow you to easily rotate it in place for sharing. Their orientation allows the unit to rotate, but not shift forward/backward or side-to-side. The front bar has a sliding release to lower it for access to front-mounted drives (or ports) such as the slot-loading optical drive on the MBP - perfect! The platform on which the laptop rests has rubber cushioning that really grips the laptop preventing it from sliding off when the aforementioned bar is in the down position. The area under the laptop is curved so that air can easily circulate under the computer keeping it running cool. It is a well-made device that does what it claims to very well. I was going to point out that there is an APC model identical to this (BTW, these can be had without the USB hub) that was cheaper at the time I got mine. But I just noticed that this unit (with the hub) is currently LESS than the one without. That is, the same brand, Xbrand. Not sure why that is, but maybe I should get one for my wife who inherited the 17" Powerbook!

Works great!

This product works great! Just note that you have 4 usb ports in the hub and you'll still have the network card, power and the usb connected to the dock. I have had no issues with this device since I bought it. Also remember to buy this model with the usb ports and not the one without as the USB ports make your laptop easier to unplug from things like your printer, mouse and keyboard.

Kensington 62220 Contour 15-Inch Notebook Carrying Case

Kensington 62220 Contour 15-Inch Notebook Carrying Case

The perfect laptop bag

I have a bit of a reputation as a "bag" person. It's not uncommon for me to take up a considerable amount of trunk space when going out of town with separate bags for my clothes, workout clothes, laptop, etc., but I always have one special bag that travels in the front seat or within arms reach in the back seat during all road trips. It's sort of my "emergency/boredom bag" and has been known to carry everything from Tylenol to Sudoku books to a Leatherman. In the past, this bag has commonly been a backpack, until about a year ago when I upgraded to a leather briefcase, yet still continued to carry my backpack to accommodate whatever excess that would not fit into my briefcase. Needless to say, neither the backpack or the briefcase could completely carry everything, not to mention the inconvenience of digging around in the bottom of the pockets trying to find what I need. Not exactly safe behavior when you're behind the wheel of a car. I purchased the Kensington 62220 last month after much research and after my leather briefcase was ill equipped to handle the wear and tear from my excessively toting it around. Thus far, the Kensington briefcase has been, by far, the best "bag" I've ever owned. Not only does it have enough room to hold my laptop (Dell Vostro 1400 with 14" widescreen), Bible, laptop mouse, laptop adapter, inhaler, glasses case, Leatherman, MP3 player, small contact lens solution, and assortment of other small necessary items, but it also has several compartments and pockets to keep it all separated so I can find it in a matter of seconds. That's not to mention the ergonomic comfort of the handle and curved back of the bag. I would definitely recommend. I constantly brag about the bag to my wife, who isn't so excited considering that she bought me the worn out leather briefcase as a gift for my new job :)

A great case

This is the case you've been looking for. Lots of well designed pockets. The smaller pocket on the top for badges, tickets, passport or phone is really nice. The handles are great. These plastic molded handles really carry the case nicely...they are soooo much better than fabric handles. The curved back is nice, but to be honest I can't say as I feel any ergonomic difference or not. Carries my 13" laptop and peripherals effortlessly. The base, at 8" wide sits up really well and may be the first bag I've had in some time that doesn't want to tip over. I couldn't give this five stars only because it is 1" too tall. If Kensington chopped 1" off the height it would fit better in an airline bin or under the seat. It's ok, you just need to tip it a bit to get it in, then turn upright. All in all, a nice case that has good eye appeal.

A winner

After about a month I can say that this bag satisfies all my needs. I moved from a larger wheeled bag, and this on has lots of space and a place for everything. Highly recommended.

not too thrilled

not recommended for women. too heavy and bulky. great space, but not lady like at all. try the targus laptop blacktop case with dome protection. same space lightweight more appealing look and style. I'm very pleased with this one instead.

nice

Hands down the best laptop case I have ever used. Very comfortable, plenty of room, and when expanded all the way and full it will JUST fit under the seat on an airplane. Good padding for laptop also. The handle is also amazingly comfortable.

Flakey Battery

This battery has been on and off flakey. It would simply jump to low power reporting, leaving my laptop to power off without hibernation. FUJITSU Mobile MHV2120AH - Hard drive - 120 GB - internal - 2.5" - ATA-100 - 5400 rpm - buffer: 8 MB

A good product

My notebook originally came with a 40 GB Fujitsu dhard drive, which worked very well, so when I decided to upgrade, I looked for something bigger from them. I had tried to order this drive directly from Fujitsu some time ago, but it was out of stock. I was pleasantly surprised to see one for sale here, so I took a risk and bought one. I copied the data from my old hard drive with no problems. But when I put the drive into my notebook, there was no power. It turns out that there was a metal plate attached to the computer's old drive that needed to be attached to the new one. After moving the plate, the computer had power, but I still couldn't boot from the new drive. I discovered that I needed to boot from an external source, like a USB hard disk, and change my bootloader's configuration file so that it could find the drive. It took a couple days to sort out, but now the drive works like a dream. I highly recommend this hard drive for anyone who has an older notebook computer and don't want to replace the motherboard just to get more hard drive space.

Defective Hard Drive

I ordered a 120gb Fujitsu hard drive which I received promptly. However the drive was defective and only capable of holding 40gb of data. I confirmed this at my local Best Buy tech department before returning the product. I was charged the 15% restocking fee, even though the product was defective. I hope that whoever gets this hard drive next only needs a 40gb drive! I will not purchase from, or recommend, Beach Audio again.

HP Pavilion DV9720US 17.0" Entertainment Laptop (AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core TL-60 Processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium)

I love this laptop

I've had this beauty since May '08. I tried Windows Vista for a few days, but I really hate it, can't stand it, so I went back to good old Windows XP, after researching a little over the internet I found a complete list of the drivers, and yes, they all work perfectly, so since may 15 I've been using XP and I'm loving it. Also I've recently installed Kubuntu 8.04 and although I'm having some problems with the wireless and ricoh card drivers, it rocks. I totally recommend this PC.

A piece of junk.

This is the worst computer I have ever owned. I had it for a week and got so frustrated that I erased everything and put XP on it to find out they don't make the device drivers for XP. How convenient. I can't install any of my software on it. Some programs I paid hundreds of dollars for.

Love this Laptop!!

I purchased this laptop in February-use it daily and have never had one problem with it. I wouldn't buy any other kind than HP and if the house burns down, the kids will have to fend for themselves-I'm saving the laptop! I have recommended it to many people!!

WORTH THE MONEY

i bought this laptop (typing this review on it now) a few months back when it was sold my amazon.com for only $[...] and i must say it is well worth it! it has a built in blu-ray player which works like a charm, 320 GB hard rive enough to save EVERYTHING you can possibly download. NVIDIA GeForce 8600 clear, vivid picturing and video and gaming! believe me it is WORTH every penny!!!

Ergonomic Mobile Cooling Platform with Tilt

Ergonomic Mobile Cooling Platform with Tilt

Finally

We looked for a long time before finding this platform for laptops. It was exactly what we were looking for. It is well constructed and sturdier than it looks online. Great product overall, and I would recommend it to others.

Excellent and simple

Works great! I use it with my notebook both at home and travel. The foldout mouse pad is perfect when using the notebook in your lap. It's sturdy and provides ventilation for the computer. It doesn't get too warm on your lap. No complaints!! I'm about to get a second one for my wife's notebook.

Lithium Ion Laptop Battery For Dell U4873

Lithium Ion Laptop Battery For Dell U4873

It worked for us... perfectly...

My daughter wanted more time on her laptop without plugging it in. And this battery was the answer.

15.4"BLUE Messenger Bag/canvas

15.4"BLUE Messenger Bag/canvas

Great bag, only 1 problem...

Well, I've had this bag for a few weeks now and have had a lot of time to try it out and experiment with it. I took it on a recent trip to California as my carry-on and it was great, with only one problem. It held an incredible amount of things: my computer, external drive, books, phone, several charging cords, snacks, and probably anything else I would have wanted to fit in there. But, I discovered that when filled that full it tears into your shoulders because it has no pad on the shoulder strap to distribute the weight. I wish I had thought to look and see that before I bought it! But over all I love the bag it's got a great look, great size, and seems very sturdy overall. I think I'm just going to try to fix the strap myself, maybe add a pad from another bag or something.

messenger bag

I love this bag, i use it to carry my 14 inch laptop and theres enough room to put the charger, webcam, cds and etc. great product.

Simple but roomy

I just got this and haven't actually used it yet, but I figured I'd add a few comments since I depended on them so much when I was selecting a bag. The most important thing for me was a bag that could fit school books as well as my 15.4" computer, and this seems like it will do the job. I was able to fit about 4" of books in and the bag was able to comfortably close (and I might even be able to squeeze more in). It claims its width is 8", and that was the best I could find when I was looking at the specs of different bags online. Some drawbacks: no handle on top to grab, which I didn't use often on my old bag but it does come in handy. No special slots for pens or small items; just a zippered pocket (which I'll try using for pens/highlighters) and an open mesh pocket. (The description mentioned something about a full organization panel, but I'm not sure what that refers to.) The side panels seem a little thin, and since that was the first thing to tear in my old bag I'm hoping this won't be a problem. Overall, it does seem like a good bag and I needed it for the book space, but keep in mind that it doesn't have some of the features that you might be used to.

Sturdy

Great shoulder bag. Bought it for my daughted to carry her lap top in. She loves it. Puts her lap top in along with everything else she needs. Pleanty of room, very sturdy. Fast delivery.

pretty sweet for the price

I looked around a lot of bags, and a lot of price points, and wasn't totally happy with anything I saw, so in the end - I went for cheap, figuring that if I didn't like it, it wasn't like I'd spent hundreds of dollars on it. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The laptop pouch is nicely padded, and it's well constructed. The fabric is heavy and durable, and the design is trendy without being too derivative. A couple of things to consider when buying the bag: 1. The canvas fabric attracts cat hair something fierce. I find myself wiping it down on a frequent basis, as I am too lazy to store it where my cats won't lay on it. 2. The flap isn't very rigid, I'm not sure how to really describe it, other than "overly floppy for my astonishingly picky messenger bag flap tastes". Anyway, if this is important to you, and it probably shouldn't be, then beware. It doesn't have any blocking or anything. That being said, the pockets and pouches are very handy. The ones on the corner are the perfect size for a compact umbrella. For the price, this is a pretty good bag.

Toshiba Satellite A205-S5841 15.4-inch Laptop (1.73 GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core T2370 Processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium)

awesome laptop

good fast service and awesome toshiba laptop its quick and trouble free .definetly recomend it

Very satisfied

My first lap top and so far so good. A lot more bells and whistles than my desk top but they are all to the good. I am a novice in the computer world but I am able to do all I want with this.

Toshiba laptops are a piece of junk

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite computer for > $1300. It had all the bells and whistles including fingerprint reader. Within six weeks after purchase I started having problems with it. It wouldn't boot up, it would crash, monitor would fail, etc, etc, etc. I called customer service after the first occurance and was told it was a software problem and they would do nothing about it. I repeatedly called, after each occurance, and was repeatedly told by customer service it was a software problem. Nine months later the entire system dropped dead. I called customer service again. Turns out it was a bad hard drive, not a software problem. This time I was asked to send it to one of their service centers (at my cost, $55 each way). Now, this product is still under warranty. They (Toshiba) charged me $250 dollars to retrieve all the info off the old drive, $200 labor, $250 to reinstall all the software and info that was on the old drive and of course, shipping and handling and insurance charges. When I shipped the piece of crap to then it had a 120 GB hard drive. When they returned it, it only had an 80 GB hard drive because they were out of the 120 GB hard drives. Nine months later the very same thing started happening again. This time, since the piece of crap was out of warranty, Toshiba would do nothing and I was treated VERY rudely by their customer service management team. Needless to say I didn't replace the hard drive, again. When I purchased my new computer I was told by the store manager of a major chain that he won't reccommend a Toshiba product to anyone because they are a piece of junk. He says the only reason he carries them is because the store chain tells him he has to. PLEASE, don't waste your money on any Toshiba products. They are JUNK!

LOVE IT.

Cannot beat this laptop for the money, though it is a bit bulky. Other then that, great.

I like it, it's inexpensive yet powerful

I wasn't quite sure what I was going to get with this model. I was impressed with the overall quality for the price. It has a crystal clear display with a cool running processor. It has plenty of power and the computer itself is quite quick. The only drawback is that it did not come loaded with much software. It had very little programs to start with on it. I recommend buying microsoft office or something similiar along with it.

Tamrac 5549 Adventure 9 Photo/Laptop Backpack (Camo/Black)

Tamrac 5549 Adventure 9 Photo/Laptop Backpack (Camo/Black)

Excellent Camera & Laptop Backpack

I really like my Tamrac 5549 in Camo. I got the Camo to make it look less like a camera bag to potential thieves. The pack has plenty of room for several lens and one camera body, maybe two if you got creative, all your lens cleaning gear, cables, cords, remote shutter release, extra batteries, & memory cards. The red flaps that signify used batteries or cards is novel and semi useful. Plenty of room for a 15" laptop, nicely protects it as well. Top pocket has space for extra gear like a jacket or lunch.

Pretty Satisfied with this Pack!

I purchased this Tamrac bag in late April for the purpose of carrying a laptop and camera with me when I travel, especially on airplanes because there's no way on earth anyone should check a DSLR camera or its lenses! The cons: Very Few! Other than the laptop, you can't fit anything else flat (such as a notebook or book/magazines) if you're using the laptop slot to contain your computer. It would be nice if there was a second zipper slot for such things (maybe a thin binder at the least). You can't really strap a tripod to this bag (although I think you can purchase additional straps that will allow you to strap one to the bottom). Speaking of straps, there are lots of them and they are long! One tiny annoyance is the strap designed to go around your waist when hiking. It is veeeeeery long and you can't detach it if you don't plan on using it. You have to find a way to fold and tuck it somewhere or else it'll be in the way. There are also straps on the padded straps you put your arms through. Not sure what they're for but they flop around if you don't tuck them somewhere. There's temptation to cut them to a shorter length but then there's fear that they're that long for a REASON! So I haven't cut them. Because the camera pouch is completely in the rear, you do have to take the bag off (at least off of one shoulder) to access your camera. There are some bags out there that let you access the camera from the side w/o having to take off any part of the bag. It's not a big bother to me though. It might be nice if the bag itself was a tad lighter (even when empty). I would like to have paid less for this bag ($125 isn't exactly chump change). But compared to other bags that didn't quite have everything I was looking for, I have no beef with what I paid and it's been more than worth it so far, even with just one lengthy trip taken with it. These are the only reasons this bag didn't get a full 5 stars. Pluses: I have a 15.4" laptop that fits just fine in the side slot which has great padding! You never feel anything uncomfortable when wearing this bag! The back padding is also breathable. On my last trip, I had the back on virtually all day on the Oregon coast on a day where the temperature was 103! And I never felt sweaty on my back and the bag never got moist on its padding either. The arm straps are very comfortable too. I didn't feel a lot of rubbing on skin when I wore a tank top. A fully loaded bag will feel very heavy when you lift it but once it's on your back, it feels much lighter! I think that's due to the design of the arm straps and the padding. I never felt like I just 'had to take the bag off'. Walking around an airport with it is a different matter, but I bought a cheap foldable Samsonite Micro Mover Fold Away Luggage Cart from Staples for $25 and it worked wonderfully with this pack (I won't review the cart here though). If this bag came with built in rolling wheels that would truly take the cake! But I didn't see a single bag on the market with rollers that was under $220. I thought that the top pocket of the backpack would be small but I found I was able to fit PLENTY of things in it (including a light jacket and wind pants with room to spare). It came in handy when I put adidas flip flops inside of that pocket when on the beach (but if you're bigger than a size 11, forget it). The side mesh pockets are GREAT! Perfect size for water bottles and just about anything else. I put a cell phone, business cards, pens, and even spare change on those pockets and never lost a thing. Last, but most importantly, the camera pouch. Talk about ROOM!!!! I could probably fit at least 3 camera bodies and 2 large lenses inside if I wanted. Or maybe 2 large bodies with additional grips, etc. I had no idea that the camera pouch was going to be so deep. I have only a Canon 400D with an attached 28-135mm lens. I filled the rest of the space with all sorts of things (point & shoot camera, multiple battery chargers, cords, cables, card readers, etc.) There's almost TOO much space right now but with more lenses on the horizon, I'll work to fill it. The flap to the camera pouch is really nice. It has 4 well sized pockets for memory cards, spare batteries, and other small items. The padding inside is FULLY customizable so you can make sure anything is snug if you want. This pocket can be closed by dual zippers or by 3 clips for speedy access. The only small hang-up with the clips is that you must undo at least 2 of them to access your camera, but that's not really a problem. Dual zippers are always preferred over a single one so that's great. Once zipped, there is a great flap that covers the entire zipper and pouch to keep out moisture if it rains. I don't know how water resistant the whole bag is (I'm sure I'll find out) but I have no doubt that in that particular pouch, everything out to remain clean and dry if you zip it up tight. The flap even does fairly well if you clip the flap shut instead of zipping it. The bottom of the bag is VERY strong and rugged so you don't have to set your bag down as if you were handling fine china. The whole bag seems very very tough and if any part of it breaks within 2 years of hard use, I'd be surprised. I bought the camouflage colored bag and I love it. Like said above, it looks a lot less like a bag that countains valuables, yet photographers will always know you're a photographer too, so that's great. Red stands way out and the black does look like something someone would want to run off with if given the chance. I definitely recommend this bag for traveling amateur photographers who like to keep all of their equipment close and secure. I'd go with Tamrac again any time for similar products. I hope this review is very helpful and if it's too long, blame Amazon for letting me be so loquacious about a great product!

Web page shows item in wrong color

While this is an excellent item and fits its niche perfectly; needing to carry a 17 inch laptop, SLR camera, a few lens, plus other miscellaneous gear and all in one bag. At the time of my receiving this item (Friday, May 9th, 2008) , I came to find out that the product image (which I went based off of) doesn't match the product description. If you order this item, you will receive the Camo/Black color scheme instead of the Red/Black one that is shown in the image. Hopefully Amazon will address this issue shortly.

Great bag

Tons of room, love the bag, holds laptop, canon 20d, 3 lenses, 50mm, 17-85 IS on camera 70-300, 420 flash, batteries, cf cards, i even have room for my sony dvd camcorder in the upper pouch, only negative thing i can say is that with all that gear bag can get heavy. Backpack shape also doesnt scream out steal me, and good luck tearing it off my back.

Fits my MacBook Pro prefectly

It arrived in the mail today and I love it already. It fits my MacBook Pro perfectly which I was very worried about. It could be a little bit shorter in length but otherwise it is great. The design is also very unique.

great

I bought this for my Dell Inspiron 1525, and it fits nicely. I highly enjoy the case. It would be a little more awesome if it was reversible because the green on the inside is very nice also.

Byo 13.5" Laptop Sleeve Black

Byo 13.5" Laptop Sleeve Black

Great for Macbook

I got this sleeve for my white Macbook and it works great. It's useful because it makes my 13" computer fit in a bag that is made for about a 15" and it doesn't move around when I'm carrying the bag. Also, If I don't need anything in the bag I can easily go without it and put my laptop in its sleeve and into a backpack. It's good for minor bumps and provides a full coverage from any scratches. The inside of the zipper doesn't seem to scratch the computer either. It is perfect for what I was looking for. Make sure you realize that it's made completely of neoprene and doesn't have and rigidity but it makes me feel a lot better about haying my Macbook in a backpack. The inside is a soft neon-green material, nice touch perfect for the Macbook's glossy surface. The sides hug it tight while the corners have a little room. Simple, but it's just what you might need.

Perfect for 13.3" MacBooks

This neoprene sleeve has a unique look - it's squre-ish, but the middle portions hug your laptop. The zipper opens only on the smaller side, so it's ideal for insertion in backpacks. This type of case is best suited for protecting your laptop case from rubbing and scratching during transit, but it's also extremely light. The size is close to perfect for standard MacBooks. The case doesn't come with handles, so clearly it's not meant for heavy-duty, external portable use. However, for protecting your laptop inside a backpack, his fits the job.

Dell Inspiron 500M 600M Latitude D600, D500, and D505 Laptop Notebook battery.

Dell Inspiron 500M 600M Latitude D600, D500, and D505 Laptop Notebook battery.

Be Careful with This Battery

It worked great, for about 4 weeks. Now it refuses to accept or hold a charge; the 3% charge meter just sits there, hour after hour, while telling me that the battery is charging. And it really does have only 3% charge; which lasts about 4 minutes. So I am reviewing the boilerplate seller email regarding the 30-day return policy and the "2-yr warranty on all PowerStar batteries and 1-yr warranty on BatteryJack Brand batteries and 'whatever' on other mfgrs" with the seller, who cheerfully invites me to return the battery at my expense for evaluation and some sort of unspecified action sometime, without providing any Return Auth Number for tracking. The battery has a Diversified Battery Group, Inc. sticker, but their website has no Dell C1295 battery information of any kind. For this, I save $20?? Boo.

Laptop Battery Review

I got great Service from Amazon and Better Deals. I would definitely use both entities again for computer needs. The product was exactly what I was looking for and at a great price.

Dell Inspiron 600m battery

The item I received was brand new and lasts longer than my older battery. I am very satisfied with this item.

SCAM! DON'T BUY!

battery won't hold a charge ... but it will work if you keep your laptop plugged in at all times like a desktop PC

Thanks

I'm using it in our old apartment. The power off was killing my laptop >_<. Thanks~~

TRENDnet 7-Port USB/FireWire Combination Hub

worked perfectly right out of the box

includes plenty of cables and an external power supply which is often required when connecting external drives lacking their own external power. recommended!

Works Great!

This USB/Firewire Expansion Hub works great on my Mac Mini. Full 5 Star rating!

Six Ports not Seven

It is very well built and works very good. Only has two usable firewire ports the third port is the feeder port. It does have 4 usable USB ports. In reality this is a six port hub. The magnetic base makes mounting easy no holes to drill.

No Support 24/7

I purchased this items and needed assistance or really just to get a question answer. They have a toll free number which I thought was great however I made three calls thru the week and left my number 3 times and was never contacted.

Works exactly as expected

This is my shortest review. It works as described with no problems.

Kensington 64032 Master Lock Universal Notebook Security Cable (Black)

Kensington 64032 Master Lock Universal Notebook Security Cable (Black)

Works like it should

Not much to say other than it works like it should. The only thing that I should mention is that it was very vague in the beginning on whether it works with the new Apple MacBook Pro 17". Well, I'm happy to say that it does.

A Lock for Your Laptop

Having a lock for your laptop is essential nowadays since a lot of thiefs will just take it, hide it, and run with it. Verbal reprimand does not work no more unless if they see it secured. It comes with 2 keys that you can hide again!

Poorly made, instructions unclear, may have damaged my laptop

I'd recommend selecting a different security cable product, especially if you have a PowerBook or MacBook. This one is poorly made, even more poorly documented, and may have permanently damaged my PowerBook G4. (Yes, the product web site claims this model is compatible with the PB G4.) It's unclear from the cryptic instruction diagram on the back of the packaging which direction is locked and which is unlocked. (Hey, would it be so bad to actually use *words* to explain things? Even in 4 or 5 languages if you like. The diagrams make no sense.) In the process of trying to get this to work, it appears that the locking teeth chewed up the security slot of my PowerBook. It may have permanently damaged the slot. Needless to say, I will attempt to return the product for a refund. There are plenty of similar products on the market, including others avaiable through Amazon. I'd suggest trying one of those.

Thwarts Crimes of Opportunity

Laptop thefts, for the most part, are crimes of opportunity. This lock makes your laptop less appealing to thieves. The only thing I wish was that the cable was bright orange, making it even more obvious. For the grab-and-dash thieves, my laptop is much lower on their hit parade. I loop the cable around a stationary object, threading the free end through the loop and lock the free end to my laptop (there's a space on most laptops for security measures). I've used it quite a bit at hotels (housekeeping practices in most hotels leave rooms open and unattended for long periods), at coffee shops and at conferences when I have to walk away from my computer for a short period.

Can be opened with a tube of toilet paper and a ballpoint pen.

It appears that one can unlock this product without the key: All you need is a bit of cardstock (or used toilet-paper tube) and a ballpoint pen. For more information on this vulnerability, search for "kensington lock vulnerability" on Google.
